100 Goals for 2025
It’s been a couple of years since I did a goal setting post, and in that time I’ve navigated my husband’s diagnosis and then his loss. 2024 was hard, but it’s also paved the way for a chapter, one that will be very different.
If this blog is new to you, I’d just like to say that prior to 2022, this was something I’ve been doing since completing my my coaching course in 2015. I still use Leonie Dawson’s Brilliant Year Workbook. It’s a great little workbook that helps you review the previous year, and clarify what you’d like in the following one by reflecting on each part of your life.
Last year I was full of ups and downs.
- I completed the Dave Kessler Grief Educator course
- I finally got round to completing the NLP and NLP Masters courses.
- I signed up to Marisa Peers Clinical Hynpotherapy course, and add on to her RTT Hypnotherapy course that I completed in 2023.
- I went to the crime writers festival in Harrogate and had the most amazing time!
- I signed up to and completed a crime writers course.
- Signed up to a creative writing course/evening class with Maynooth University
- After much chasing, I finally got UK probate sorted, however, my husbands estate still hasn’t been finalised.
- I had afternoon tea at Luttrellstown Castle and at the Aqua Sana spa in Centre Parks.
- I’ve listened to several audiobooks as I take my son to his course 90 mins drive away.
- My son took his first steps back into formal education and is thriving,
- We’ve also found a house we both like, and hope to move in next month.
In the meantime, my business was kind of put on hold as I didn’t have the bandwith to cope with it, and whilst I didn’t publish any books this year, I have helped a couple of existing clients to birth theirs.
My goal in 2025 is to take the first steps in a new chapter of my life, a chapter where I navigate a life without my husband. For this reason, my word for 2025 is courage. The courage to try: to try new things, to be my authentic self and to go forth in a new direction. With this in mind, here are my 100 goals for 2025, broken down into groups.

Big girl pants time
Having a husband means you get to delegate some tasks in life or even shout for help and get rescued. But now there’s no one to rescue me but myself, so it’s big girl pants time!
- Wind up hubby’s estate
- Learn car maintenance
- Re-learn how to change a tyre – I have done this before but it’s been 30+ years!
- Learn how to look after the septic tank
- How to cure an airlock in a radiator
- Work on getting pension sorted
- Get an accountant
- Have an emergency fund
- Have a separate business account
- Build the PUBLISH Method course
So there you go. That’s my 100 goals for 2025.
I wanted to break out of the rut I’d gotten myself into, try new things, go new places and meet new people. I hope these goals will help me do this, whilst at the same time, having fun. These goals should also help me to becoming the person that I aspire to be and the one that will inspire my son to become the person he’s meant to be as well.
So what do you want for 2025 and how are you going to make it happen?
If you’d like some help, then give me a shout or book a call.
