In the last couple of days, we’ve looked at what clutter is and why it’s important to declutter. Today we’re going to be a bit more positive and think about the benefits of decluttering. Here are my 10 benefits of decluttering:
- You’re getting rid of rubbish. In clearing my lounge ready t decorate it for Christmas, I ended up sending magazines and papers into the recycle bin.
- You’re letting go of the stuff that you don’t need, want or care for.
- As a consequence, your home becomes your sanctuary.
- You’re not wasting time or energy tidying up stuff. Think of what you could do in that time.
- If you’re able to sell some of your things, then you’ll have some money to spend of yourself. What would you like, just for you?
- You have space for the things you love. Yay!
- The energy around your home feels different. It’s actually quite noticeable. Maybe it’s something to do with Feng Shui. I don’t know.
- Having less clutter means that you can become more organised, saving time on finding things when you want them.
- As my home becomes less cluttered and tidier, my shame about how my home looks diminishes.
- In addition, as my home starts to become my sanctuary again, so I’m able to de-stress and create a relaxing home for my family and friends to enjoy.
