linkedin2

One day, I started inputting my LinkedIn connection details onto Outlook, but the though of having to input 100 connections filled me with dread.  There had to be a better way.  If LinkedIn was talking to Twitter, why not my Outlook account?  So after a bit of googling I found that not only is it possible to download your connections into Outlook, but using the integration software, all e-mails would flag up if the person was on LinkedIn too!

It took a while but I finally got it working.  This should help you get started! Here’s how to integrate LinkedIn and MS Outlook.

To make the integration work, you actually need 2 pieces of software downloaded onto your computer.

First download and install the Outlook Social Connector from Microsoft

Then download and install the LinkedIn Outlook Connector from LinkedIn

 linkedin for outlook
Finally, re-start Outlook. When you go into Contacts, you should see a new folder called LinkedIn.

If you have any problems try this link.

Once you have you email and LinkedIn connected, why not try downloading your LinkedIn connections to your mobile phone.  Click here.

If this has helped you, or you have an idea for a “How to…” post, then I’d love to hear about it.

Take care for now
