Yesterday the day was derailed by Dad being a bit poorly. He’s still not a 100%, but today is New Year’s Eve, so my focus has been on tidying up downstairs and decluttering my books. I’ve only been able to declutter another box full, but it’s one less thing to do. It may be a minor success but it’s still a success, so I’m banking it!
Do you remember when we talked about setting SMART ARSE goals? Well, the E was for energy, and it’s at times like this that you have to dig deep and keep going. One thing my husband has taught me is perseverance. When you undertake any challenge, remember it’s sometimes more of a marathon than a sprint. When things get derailed, it’s important to just keep trying.
So whilst today was derailed again, I’ll be starting off tomorrow by sticking to my immediate goal of decluttering my bedroom. I still have a couple of days to finish it, but I’m keeping in mind my original vision of how it should look:
- cleared surfaces
- fresh bedding
- clean and tidy
- less stuff
How are you getting on?
Take care for now
